THREADS: When using decorative threads it is important to purchase good threads, don't waste your time & money on cheap thread that keep breaking or shredding, this will only cause frustration.
I’m Belinda Smith, the owner & designer of Belinda’s Designs I learned to sew at a young age, by the time I was in Junior High, I was making my own garments, and my mother would always give me a once over to make sure I was presentable. I didn’t understand why (those were the days of the early mini skirts).
With degrees in fashion, interior design and business management, my love of fashion and creative sewing has won out. I started publishing my creative pattern line in 1994, the finished designs show the imagination, creativity and pride taken in my work. I have enjoyed teaching & sharing my ideas on fabric manipulation & creative sewing, giving classes, workshops & seminars across the country.
My patterns are designed for the individual who enjoys experimenting with exciting creative ways of sewing, texturing, & embellishing fabric. Fun and creative foundation work, for sweatshirt jackets and much more, for sewers, quilters & crafters. Patterns include supply list for necessary fabrics and notions, great illustrations & directions to complete the design.
